I personally witnessed extensive waste and incompetence which I estimate to cost insurers seven figures, if secondary damage does materialise that figure will increase substantially. I believe that the majority of contractors have the ability but Insurance procurement procedures have focused on KPIs key performance indicators, which have little to do with emergency or disaster restoration competence. I would be pleased to discuss this report with a view to future support.
It should be made clear that this report focused on only part of my audit and several significant areas of exposure to both civil and criminal liability and long tail claim issues have not been included.
The quality of photographs may not show the detail required but originals can be seen which are clear and a power point presentation is available to clients.
I hope you see this report as a step forward and not as a witch-hunt. The information I gathered was available to any interested party, just driving around and identifying clear indicators of poor restoration.
