"Non Destructive Testing"
Detection of air, water or insulation leaks click here or phone 08700 789 999 Infra red Thermography is a relatively new tool in the inspection industry. Not new in terms of science but in affordability and use. The cameras we use are light and extremely accurate and differentiate temperature variations as low as .5 of a degree celcius. This accuracy allows for predictive maintenance in electrical or mechanical instaltions. This is where electrical circuits under load or bearings, shafts are monitored for working temperature and variations in temperature, this will indicate overloading or wear.
Heat Loss in yellowEqually IR thermography can be used very succesfully in identifying heat loss or gain in building envelope through faulty insulation and air or water leaks too. The testing can be undertaken remotely and therefore safely and usually more economically.

- We provide certified level 1 Infra Red thermographers and are pleased to answer any technical queries you may have.
Typical applications:
Predictive maintenance
- Conveyor belt inspections, bearings, machines and machine tools
- Location of Wall ties, cramps
- Loading of bearings, shafts, identification of uneven weight or wear distribution
- Electrical circuit inspection to identify potential fire risk or failure
- Water damage intrusion, roof and cladding leaks Showing construction detail
- Thermal insulation gaps and missing or poorly fitted insulation batts
- Heat loss through thermal breaks
- Energy efficiency
- Quality control on new build
- Window performance
- Location of embedded services
LimitationSurveys must be undertaken within varying temperature parameters. This may mean heating or cooling areas to be inspected. This can be achieved by natural heating and cooling regimes such as day and night cooling, building heating regimes etc.Timing is therefor a critical component in surveying.
