Outbreak & Disease control
The threat of disease and increasing problems associated with antibiotic resistant diseases such as MRSA & XDR-TB are compounded by SARS, Bird Flu and many others. The major current option is defence and this can be developed from education and training together with engineering controls. Defence can be developed by reducing the risk to these increasing hazards and this risk reduction can be achieved in the following ways.
· Training and education
· Engineering controls
Training
We provide education to various levels which will allow the management to assess risks and hazards and benefits from training and engineering controls. The training revolves around almost forgotten principles of infection control where reliance on cleanliness replaces the dependency on antibiotics which increasingly don’t work.
Engineering controls
These are the actions which reduce the effect or risk of the pathogen which may harm us. Engineering controls can revolve around social distancing, travel and work protocols and of course sanitation. One of the procedures we employ is the application of a biocide which remains active for 3 months killing any organism which comes in contact with it. This includes door handles, key boards etc and the protection lasts 3 months.
