Plan Elements
Plans must be designed and developed fit for purpose and the first step is to identify what the purpose and commitment is. Many mistakenly believe that plans should revolve around the IT Information Technology as a priority, but from the initial assessments of the business a clear picture of need will evolve. This evolution will follow from a dissection of the business and most importantly its profit centres and areas of critical importance for its survival.
Components
While many advocate a Business Continuity plan focused entirely on the business being able to continue with its function during a crisis, we suggest and propose additional planning components. These areas will provide risk mitigation and recovery options which can be found in our planning module at www.robustresilience.com
In this area you will note we include the following planning requirements:
· Disaster Recovery
· Incident or Crisis management
· Terrorism which is CBR specific (Bio terrorism)
· Explosion Fire etc
· SIP Shelter in Place and Resilience
· Natural and wide area Environmental impact
· Pandemic & Outbreak control
